Community Health Auspices and Shield Organization (CoHASO) is a youth-led, notfor-profit organization serving the underserved communities in Tanzania. It aims at ensuring health protection and promotion by predominantly focusing on Sustainable Development Goals 3, 6 and 2. (the order is due to our priority).

Binti Afya Plus

This is an extension of Binti Afya project, having an additional component of Gender Based Violence (GBV). Binti Afya Plus also expands its target groups from only adolescents and young girls to teachers and local government leaders.

Our Projects

Binti Afya

This was a project on sexual and reproductive health education among adolescents. It was implemented in Dodoma and Dar es Salaam between May 2019 and December 2019. Project involved educational outreaches to secondary schools as well as use of mass media. It reached directly about 2000 and thousands through radio programs.

Binti Afya Plus
